The engine water pump is broken
Apr 12,2022
The failure of engine water pump will lead to excessive cooling water temperature, increase the rotation resistance of water pump, noise at engine part, unstable engine idle speed and other problems. Automobile water pump is an important component to maintain the normal working temperature of the engine. The damage of the water pump will lead to many problems, the most serious of which will lead to the damage of the engine.
1. Unstable idle speed: the automobile water pump is connected with the belt, and cold water is drawn from the water tank to cool the engine. If there is a problem with the rotation of the water pump, it will directly affect the speed of the engine. If the power is too large, it will shut down. From these phenomena, it can be preliminarily judged that the water pump is damaged.
2. Coolant leakage: This is a common fault. The engine is easy to leak near the water pump. At this time, the coolant will leave a watermark on the vent hole of the water pump. Lack of coolant will cause the engine to "heat up", which will aggravate the wear, smoke and even fire in serious cases. At this time, first check whether the important components of the cooling system (cooling fan, radiator, water pump, etc.) are damaged. Don't drive reluctantly.
3. Noise problem: when there are signs of damage to the automobile water pump, there will be abnormal noise, and the reason for the abnormal noise is likely to be the damage of the internal bearing, the looseness of the impeller or the abnormal noise of the shaft. At this time, we must pay attention to driving and repair the corresponding parts in time, otherwise there will be a water pump strike, and the above situation will occur if the car engine does not get sufficient heat dissipation.
