Working process of stainless steel self-priming pump

Nov 22,2022

Stainless steel self-priming pumps are divided into internal mixing self-priming pumps and external mixing self-priming pumps according to their structure. The pump adopts the pump body structure with axial liquid return. After the pump starts normally, the impeller sucks the liquid stored in the suction chamber and the air in the suction pipeline together, and they are thoroughly mixed in the impeller. Under the effect of centrifugal force, the liquid entrains the gas to flow to the outer edge of the scroll, and the air flows outside the impeller. A white foam belt with a certain thickness and a high-speed rotating liquid ring are formed on the edge.

At this time, due to the sudden decrease of the flow rate, the lighter gas is separated from the mixed gas and liquid, and the gas continues to rise and discharge through the outlet of the pump body. The degassed liquid returns to the liquid storage chamber, and enters the impeller again through the return hole, mixes with the gas sucked from the suction pipe inside the impeller again, and flows to the outer edge of the impeller under the effect of the high-speed rotating impeller. As this process goes on in circles, the air in the suction pipeline is continuously reduced until the gas is exhausted, and the self-priming process is completed.
