What are the hazards of long-term low-load operation of diesel generator sets
Nov 15,2022
1. The seal between piston and cylinder liner is not good, the engine oil will go up, enter the combustion chamber for combustion, and the exhaust will emit blue smoke;
2. For supercharged diesel engines, due to low load and no load, the boost pressure is low. It is easy to cause the sealing effect of the turbocharger oil seal (non-contact type) to decline, and the oil will enter the booster chamber and enter the cylinder along with the intake air;
3. A part of the engine oil that goes up to the cylinder participates in the combustion, and a part of the oil cannot be completely combusted, forming carbon deposits on the valves, intake passages, piston tops, piston rings, etc., and the other part is discharged with the exhaust.
4. When the oil in the supercharging chamber of the supercharger accumulates to a certain extent, it will leak from the joint surface of the supercharger;
5. It is also a very serious hazard that long-term small-load operation will lead to more serious wear and tear of moving parts, deterioration of the engine combustion environment, and other consequences that lead to an early overhaul period.
