The difference between a diesel engine and a China gasoline engine
1. Ignition mode
The diesel engine uses the compression stroke to compress and heat up the mixture of fuel and air to reach its ignition point and burn to achieve the purpose of ignition and combustion, without spark plugs.
China gasoline engine uses the electronic igniter above the nozzle to generate an electric spark to ignite the gasoline to achieve the purpose of ignition and combustion.
2. Fuel consumption
Compared with gasoline, diesel has more power, higher ignition point and less volatility. Due to these characteristics, the fuel economy of a diesel engine is 30% higher than that of a China gasoline engine. That is to say, for the same vehicle, under the same driving conditions, it is assumed that the fuel consumption of a gasoline vehicle is 10L, and that of a diesel vehicle is about 7L.
3. Speed up
The working principle of diesel engine is not to ignite, but to compress the combustible mixture so that it spontaneously ignites when it reaches the ignition point. Then this process is slower than China gasoline engine ignition, and when energy is converted into speed, it is correspondingly slower than China gasoline engine. Therefore, under the same conditions, the acceleration of a diesel vehicle is slower than that of a China gasoline engine.
4. Noise
Because the mechanical working principle of China gasoline engine and diesel engine is different, the compression ignition method of diesel engine makes the diesel engine have to be compressed to a certain extent to generate electricity, so its explosion sound will be loud. In actual driving, it is obvious that the noise of the diesel engine is louder than that of China gasoline engine.
