Structural principle of inverter generator

Since portable generators are usually compact and simple in structure, voltage output and frequency are affected by engine performance and generation load. However, most appliances are designed to work with the accurate, low fluctuation household electricity provided by giant power stations. With early model generators, common problems were lighting fluctuations and equipment not working.
The first generator with an inverter circuit was the EX300 released by Honda in 1987. To stabilize frequency and improve power generation efficiency, the EX300 employs a "three-phase multi-pole high-speed power generation system" that rotates the rotor. Three-phase alternating current is generated at high speed. This system makes the generator more efficient and easier to use by improving the power generation efficiency, generating direct current through a rectifier circuit, and maintaining a stable frequency alternating current through an inverter circuit to generate electricity. However, it cannot be used on all devices because the waveform it produces is a rectangular wave.
